I am starting off my quest to try every kind of Pocky with a bang.
Giant Pocky scales quite nicely, providing all of the chocolatey goodness and pleasing crunch of the normal variety.
Another benefit: The giant pocky box makes me feel so small and dainty. It is bliss.

Start time: 7pm Friday, April 22nd.
Ryan started with a title page - "The Adventures of..." but ran out of room, so he could only fit "The Advent". He tried to make this title work, but eventually had to redo the cover. Precious moments lost !
At one point I needed a picture reference for fire, so Ryan set his kitchen on fire.
Ryan drew and inked his entire comic by 12pm Saturday. With 7 hours to spare! He did a great job, but has doubts about attempting another 24 hour comic.
I basically worked non-stop for the entire 24 hours. I didn't really start to feel tired until 6pm on saturday. My head did feel like it needed to come off my neck, though.
I had decided to download pictures from my camera phone and create the second half of the comic in photoshop. Serious technical difficulties delayed my efforts.
When the clock struck 7pm on Saturday, I was not done. I had only completed 16 out of 24 pages, barely more than half. After 24 hours of intense focus, it really was a bitter disappointment.
Here is my incomplete version, and I plan on creating a 'redux' finished version as well.
As a person who needs deadlines to function, I like the idea of committing 24 hours on banging out a project. I may try this with script outlines and other projects. Would I try it again ? Yes. I think with more people and a less ambitious process it could be fun.

It’s almost here! Saturday April 23rd is International 24 Hour Comic Day. Thousands of people around the world will attempt to create a 24 page comic in 24 hours.
The 24 Hour Comic Dare was created by Comic Guru Scott McCloud.
I'm really looking forward to it, and I will post the finished comic on my website.
I'll try to blog the process as well. Wish me luck!

That's the last time I eat a monkey before I go to bed.
The Nuvo is the latest robot from Japan. Built by ZMP Inc., these 15 inch tall humanoids can patrol your home and send pictures to your mobile phone.
They walk, pick themselves up after a fall, respond to voice/remote/cell phone commands, and of course, like all new robots... DANCE !
They seem particularly built to do 'the monkey'. Perhaps in a slight dig at the
Robot vs. Monkey struggle ?
